How to read a Max Battle team⌄

Tank: a bulky Pokémon chosen to take hits. Attackers: the two damage-focused picks. These are starting roles, not a complete plan for when your group should switch, use Max Guard, or heal with Max Spirit.

DPS means damage per second. Blended DPS combines ordinary attacks and the model’s Max phase. The counter-table score reflects the team’s source-ranking scores; it is not a second win percentage.

A score of 90/100 does not mean a 90% chance of winning. Battle time and healing are rough estimates. Dodging, Max Meter generation, and coordinated Max Guard and Max Spirit use are not fully simulated. Read the Max Battle planning guide before committing resources.

Pokémon GO Max Battle counter guide

Build a practical Dynamax or Gigantamax team before entering the Power Spot.

Max Battle Lab tests released and announced Max-capable Pokémon against the selected boss using standardized level, IV, move, damage, Max-phase, and survival assumptions. Announced forms are included for planning; check official event details for live availability. It does not require a Pokémon GO login or inventory export.

What is the difference between Dynamax and Gigantamax?

A Dynamax Pokémon’s Max Attack matches its Fast Attack’s type. A Gigantamax Pokémon uses its species-specific G-Max attack. Check the Max move on each card: the same species can fill different roles depending on its form and moves.

How is the top team chosen?

The simulator combines one durable tank with two damage-focused counters, then compares move timing, type effectiveness, Max-phase damage, expected survival, and the source counter tables. Incoming damage automatically weighs the boss's full likely attack-type pool with extra protection against the most dangerous matchup.

What if I do not own a recommended counter?

Use “I don't have this” on any team card. That exact Dynamax or Gigantamax candidate is excluded and the remaining teams are reranked. Repeat until the recommendation matches what you can build.

Are these my account's Pokémon?

No. Results use a consistent perfect-stat benchmark so they are useful without account access. Adjust counter level, Max move level, and group size to match your situation; boss attack-type uncertainty is modeled automatically.
